So this week, is Prom for a lot a of people. When your a Junior in High School, it's like, "your" prom. You and your class get to decorate the gym anyway you want, you get to decide a theme, and all that fun stuff. And you also want to make it a memorable night, because you only have your "Junior Prom" once in your life.
But, prom also means, what kinda of dress your gonna wear & what it looks like. We all know in this society, we get judged everyday, wether it's what we look like, how we dress, or if it's just how we are. And because of all this judging people do, that's how we decided what to wear each day. We say to ourselves "Are people going to like this?" It's true, & that's what it's like for Prom. We wanna pick the dress that we love, but also what we think everyone else will think of the dress. This is my advice to you, DON'T GIVE IN!!
Don't give in to all the judging! Yeah, somedays we do give in to it, but DONT! Wear what YOU want to wear, not what SOMEONE ELSE thinks you should wear. This can go right along with prom. Yeah, sme of us can't afford those $600 dresses. So you know what? Find a dress that YOU love, and can also be afforable to you! If you love a dress, and it's only for $100, get it! Don't think that you need to get the $300-$600 dresses everyone else is getting. If you love the dress, then that's all that matters!
So, my main point in all of this, is just BE YOURSELF! Wear clothes that express who you are, not what other people think you are. Wear clothes you love! Yeah, you might get judged, but ignore it! Those people that judge you, are only jealous of you! They're jealous that they don't have the courage to not think about what everyone else thinks of them, like you!
